Well, it's been a couple of weeks since The Ocho and we are finally rested up and can do our annual Conference Wrap up. We had such a great turn out this year that it still amazes us. Three years ago, we had about 65 folks total at the conference and this year we topped out at 175! We're growing as a conference and we enjoy every year.

We would like to thank our speakers for taking time out of their busy schedules to present at The Ocho and hope they continue to help us out in the future. We would like to apologize to Daniel Efaw. In the last minute scheduling changes that happened close to the conference, we misspelled his name on the web site and it ended up being wrong on the video link as well. It has been fixed on the site, but alas, it can't be changed on the video.

We would also like to thank our sponsors for this year as well:

We would also like to thank the Folks at Frontier Communications who supplied our Internet access for the weekend. It was fast!

The CTF was pretty good and we ended up having 6 teams registered and playing, but Team RED gained control by the end of the first day and never really gave it up until the end. We're not really sure they slept. :-) We promise a better themed CTF next year, once we figure out the theme.

The Voting Machine Village was also a success, if nothing else to see what we could get off the machine. Bill Gardner and the folks at Marshal's DFIA are still reviewing the material and hopefully will have a talk next year about it.

We are looking at changing a few things around for next year and get back to a more hands-on conference. We will have more on that as we formulate the types of classes, villages and other surprises we are working on.

Now the moment you all have been waiting for - dates for next year's SecureWV/Hack3rCon:
